Major League Soccer is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by U.S. Soccer that represents the sport's highest level in both the United States and Canada and constitutes one of the major professional sports leagues in both countries. The North American association comprises 23 MLS teams from - 20 in the U.S. and 3 in Canada.Major League Soccer's regular season runs from March to October. Teams are geographically divided into the Eastern and Western Conferences, playing 34 games in an unbalanced schedule. For 2018, with 23 teams, each team plays 23 games against teams in its conference and 11 games against teams from the opposite conference. Midway through the season, teams break for the annual All-Star Game, an exhibition game between the league's most excellent players and a major club from a different league. At the end of the regular season, the team with the highest point total awarded the Supporters' Shield.

Some MLS teams include Los Angeles FC, Columbus Crew, New York City FC, Montreal Impact, Atlanta United FC, Real Salt Lake, all trying for the MLS playoff, and home games to have the advantage of the crowd.
